I'm sure Burnes would prefer Arizona spring training. D-backs, Cubs, Angels, Dodgers, Giants, Rangers all make varying degrees of sense. -
HE lives in Arizona, I'm pretty sure. -
I don't disagree that they have smart people. I'm just suggesting they may take a bit of a gamble. And as far as DHing, I don't want to go into another year where the philosophy is that Adley will bat everyday whether he catches or DH's. HIs numbers at DH this year sucked just like his other numbers.

Exactly his importance is in getting some young starting pitching prospects in the pipeline I think Kjerstad is the key guy, he will be 26 on opening day. He has had the best combo of power & OBP in the minors with plenty of time at AAA He will need to play RF and pick up the power slack from Santander -

Actually checking my facts he played 3 years with the O's but only accumulated 764 PA and 24 HR's. The decline to retirement was not as fast or as drastic as I remembered so maybe it fits the Adley model close. Of course Davis was a much better power hitter than Adley has ever been
