I thought the Giants were going to be sellers?

A red-hot month of July could be enough to convince the San Francisco Giants to make some additions before the trade deadline. In the days to come, we’ll highlight some potential trade target and propose hypothetical deals.

Even after losing on Sunday, the San Francisco Giants are still 13-3 in the month of July, and right in the thick of the NL wild-card race.

10 days left in deadline still rather quiet not only for Orioles but all major leagues.  A few teams that might have been buyers now look like sellers like the Rangers and Rockies while other like Giants may turn into buyers.  Givens and Mancini are our biggest pieces if we decide to move them.  Smith looked like a trade piece earlier on but he has killed that value and could be odd man out soon with Stewart and Hays passing him.

The elimination of the second deadline is probably having an impact.  Teams have to decide earlier if they are buying or selling.
