I would enjoy watching the Padres starting rotation and see how it holds up.
Am not behind either NY team, although I wish DeGrom could be in the World Series spotlight.
Not particularly fond of any of the AL teams, but if I had to make a choice it would be the Mariners or Rays (vs. the Padres).
I would say the chances are slim and none. Mountcastle is cheap and young BUT he has the profile of players who don't carry much value. I keep remembering C.J. Cron getting released by the Rays after hitting 30 home runs for them. Of course, he was arbitration eligible but still.
Santander has value but even if a team wanted a 1B and a COF/DH it's tough to see that getting you a TOR. Not sure it gets you a MOR.
The good news is that there should be teams searching for offense.
I think it's pretty obvious. They want to make sure there's a catcher on the 40-man when Adley gets traded to the Angels are part of the package for Ohtani. In all seriousness, who knows what the FO is thinking.
