For the last few years, I’ve been tracking all the contracts in baseball history over $100 mm, in a somewhat outdated thread in the MLB Forum. This Fall I’ve been updating and refining my analysis, using a methodology I created in a thread I started this summer analyzing all the Orioles’ contracts of $20 mm+. Here’s my 2021 update to this thread (see the OP for an explanation of methodology and color scheme) . In MLB history, there have now been 92 contracts that were $100 mm+ when they were signed, through the 2021 season (this excludes the Lindor contract, which doesn’t go into effect until 2022). The actual value of a few of those fell below $100 mm due to the partial 2020 season, but I left them on the list and show both the original and revised value.
