Any Interest in Zack Cozart?

The Giants just DFA’d him. He’ll clear waivers then be released. Will only cost a team the mlb min. next year.

It would be a nice move if Cozart would accept a milb deal, but we may have to give him an MLB deal. He could be an option at 3B or UTIL IF.

Would rather have a quality defensive shortstop. I don't think Cozart hits enough to be playable anywhere other than shortstop, and I would prefer a better defensive shortstop.

I think Iglesias has SS locked down. Cozart makes sense, especially at the league minimum. That'd also allow Alberto to play 2B primarily.

Cozart's presence wouldn't block Mountcastle, in my opinion. I think we end up seeing Mountcastle at 1B/LF/DH ultimately, which has more to do with Davis/Nunez than a hypothetical 3B addition.

His last two seasons look pretty terrible.  Seems like he is done.

He's been a terrible hitter outside of his random good 2017. Glove first 34 year old. I'd rather be taking fliers on younger flawed guys.

Just don't think the bat plays at third. Rather see Ruiz, Alberto, and Nunez at 3B.

Right now we’re missing a RH bat that can play 3B vs LHP. Wilkerson has terrible splits vs LHP. Urena has a weak stick. It’s a 26 man roster, we shouldn’t have to run out Richie Martin level hitters this year. 

If you want someone younger, then I think that Bannon is that guy, but he could use a half season in AAA. Cozart could be a good bridge to that.
