I've said this in other threads, but I'm most excited to see the following:

Guys who struggled last year, but had noteworthy offseasons attempting to address the problems:
Davis, Mullins, Hess, Sisco
Could lump Carroll & Cobb in here now that they are healthy post-surgery

Prospects, both pitching and position player

Rule 5s

Baseball on TV/radio

I prioritize defense too but in the AL East it matters a little less every year.  Severino hitting is fun too, he has more pop than a little bit and is ALWAYS smiling.  He does not have a weak bat.

call me old school, but if you keep them off the base path, they cant score. :)

Hays, the 2020 Rookie of the Year.  I think this guy is going to be the real deal and a big part of the next winning O's team.

Lowther's pitching.  I am looking for him to surprise some people and to look like he belongs in the majors.  I expect him to get sent to AAA, but be back  in a couple of months.

I'm excited to see if any of the guys we added to the fringes of our roster can make a jump and be a contributor (a la Hanser Alberto last year). I'd love if one of the Herrera, Rondon, Valaika, Urena, Urias infielders become a useful piece and/or someone like Rodgers, Bailey, Stewart, or Rucker showed himself to be a piece that could have some higher than anticipated upside.

I’m excited about the dark horses in camp. Who is this year’s Severino, the wavier pickup who becomes the starter? Or Means, the non-prospect who discovers the key?

Individually, I’m eager to watch Armstrong and Sulser, two guys I like, and regarding the starting pitching, I’m pulling for newbies( my choices are Stewart and Bailey) to displace LeBlanc and Milone, two guys brought on board as insurance, and who I hope turn out to be either phenomenal or unnecessary.

I think the only thing that has my full attention right now is Chris Davis.

I do not want to see Chris Davis fail. I know everyone on this board is ready to cut and run (been ready for over a year), they're tired of him, his excuses, him not saying what they want to hear, sticking around though the writing is on the wall. I'm in that camp too.

I'm hopelessly optimistic he's done something, anything, to earn a place on this team. He came to camp in shape, which is a start. I want him to be a good enough player to warrant being in the lineup everyday. I want him to earn some, any of his contract. I want people to feel good when he comes to bat. I want him to be the middle of the order hitter he should be.

It's a dumb wagon to get on, but I wasn't doing anything particularly important anyway.
