What happened to Josh Hamilton?

Ian Kinsler had something like a .385 OBP through July. He played 15 games in August and had a .300. Then he got a sports hernia that ended his season. Joaquin Arias took over the leadoff spot a majority of the time since. He has a .330 OBP. Also, the Rangers' #2 hitter is Michael Young, and his OBP has been under .320 in August and September.

RBI measures your teammates' performances almost as much as yours.

Very good explanation.

Do you guys think Hamilton of '09 will closely resemble the Hamilton of the beginning of the '08 season (i.e., the most dominant hitter in the majors) or the Hamilton now (i.e., a fluke)?
How is he a fluke? He's still got an .880 OPS in the 2nd half. Maybe not the "most dominant hitter in the majors", but thats still very good.

I don't think he's gonna be another Albert Pujols, but he is going to continue to be one of the better hitters in the AL, provided he can stay clean and healthy.
