Rooker would be fun to have. However, the defense is an issue and we already have DH covered. I would be interested but Holliday might be an overpay. Heck, Bradfield might be an overpay. -

Depends on the game, but the alternate ticketing generally runs higher, especially if the visiting fans will help fill up the place (like the BoSox, who usually have a solid spring following). I’ve used both, but I usually go through the O’s — and the earlier the better, as a lot of the better seats get purchased and resold on the alternate sites. -
I'll be spending a week in Sarasota in March attending my first spring training games. I'm hoping some regulars can give me some advice on obtaining tickets. Am I better off buying tickets through the Orioles official web site or through some alternate site like StubHub or SeatGeek? And should I buy online or will I save fees if I buy at the gate? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! -

The Dodgers can make better returns on the money now by investing it. Hopefully for their sake they aren’t dumping in all in the next Bernie Madoff fund like the former Mets owner was. -

I'm kind of embarrassed to admit that I've never read or seen the movie Moneyball. -
It pays to show up when the spotlight is on. Again, much (one third) of the contract is deferred. I look forward to one day understanding MLB economics Dodger-style. But if any outsider can figure it out I would think a bunch of private equity guys could be the ones so maybe the O's will be stepping things up a bit sometime soon.
