On this day in 1970 the Orioles beat the Kansas City Royals by a score of 5-4.

Jim Palmer recorded his 14th win of the season with a 7.1 inning effort in which he surrendered 4 runs on 7 hits with 6 walks and 3 strikeouts,

Frank Robinson went 1 for 2 with 1 homerun, 1 run scored and 3 RBI.  Brooks Robinson contributed with a 2 for 5, 2 runs scored game.
