Well, nobody got any hits off him today.  He was too busy walking people.  Removed after 1 2/3 innings, allowing 5 walks and 2 runs.

That was a dramatic improvement over his first start, when he faced six batters, giving up 3 hits and 3 walks and being charged with 5 runs.

Today's outing lowered his earned run average all the way down to 37.80.

Oh - and his batting average is .148.

No, it certainly did not.

Judging from what Ohtani did to the Orioles out in Anaheim, you would think somebody told him about some ill-informed doofus making disparaging comments about him on Orioles Hangout.  

My humblest apologies, Ohtani-san.  I hope that tomorrow night, you will treat the National Leaguers to the same sort of demonstration that you gave to the Orioles.

9-2 3.51 FIP, 141 ERA+

46 HR, 100 RBI (batting leadoff), 8 triples (led league), 26 SB.

Probably a career year for him but what a year.

Amazing to watch.

IMO, they really need to trade him to a contender. Dodgers are an obvious choice..

When you have Ohtani, Trout and Rendon you should be able to build something around them.

If they trade him, Seattle would be the most logical destination, but the angels would never do such a thing.

Sorry for the thread necro if that sort of thing bothers you but I just want to point out the first inning Ohtani had last night.

1 2B 1 BB 2 RBI then Pitched Perfect 1-2-3 w/ 2K.

Ended up with:

6.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 12 SO, 1 BB,

2 for 3, 1 BB, 1 2B, 1 R, 2 RBI

Well yeah, he may be "other-worldly good" for now but inquiring minds really want to know about DJ's 0.5 WAR for a first rounder.
