How many times have I heard an analyst say that a short reliever tends to lose effectiveness after 20 pitches - and then watched an Oriole short reliever get left in and pay the price?

Of course, that only seems to work with Oriole short relievers. Other teams' short relievers can stay in for 25, 30, 35 pitches and still get the Orioles out.

The Orioles have gone 0-162 in each and every season since 1954, when they arrived from St. Louis.

The franchise was much better when they were the Browns.

Was the double Armstrong have up legit?
