Manny Machado is killing it leads the NL in batting average,  OPS and OPS+, and first in the NL with 2.7 WAR. 

Would have been nice if the Orioles locked up Manny to an early extension, when the two sides were reportedly close to an agreement. Not that the team would have been a lot better the past few years, but Manny would have been a much more valuable trade chip.

So the inconsistent Kevin Gausman experience we enjoyed as Orioles fans really might be a thing of the past. Gausman is pitching excellent again this season leading the AL with a 1.26 FIP and allowing a league low 0.5 BB9 in 50 innings pitched.

We gave up Zach Davies to get him at the deadline in 2015 and he put up a .624 OPS for us after having an .886 OPS for Milwaukee in the first half of that season.    We got pretty much the worst half season of his entire career, other than perhaps a 100 AB stretch with San Fran in 2019.

The absolute worse trade that Duquette made. It was an internal scouting error by the team's scouts at the time who felt he was a swingman, middle guy at best. Dumb 'ol me was the guy who kept saying he was underrated.

And what made things worse was Parra seemed to have trouble fielding the ball off the right field wall at OPACY.

I know nothing and hated the Parra trade at the time. Parra was playing above his head that season and quickly got out of that groove after being traded to the Orioles.

To this day I feel like this trade was a last gasp by Duquette to regain control that he lost after his the Toronto situation. He probably felt if somehow, some way Parra can make a difference and the Orioles sneak into the wild card, he would look like a genius again.  instead, it backfired in the must extraordinary way by Parra being awful with the Orioles and Davies becoming a solid starter for a number of years, albeit pitching in the NL Central vs the AL East.

The annoying thing is his competition at the time was Mike Wright and Tyler Wilson.
