This weird part is it happened before the game yesterday when Ryan was already at OPACY preparing for opening day. Hope this isn't over something petty.

That was my first thought but why wait until opening day?  They probably had to pay mileage for the replacement announcer.

Connolly mentions unspecified sources saying it may have something to do with his Tweets. But the one he quotes is harmless, as far as I can tell.

I think the likelihood of it being over something petty is quite high.  It all depends on whose definition of "petty" is used, however.

This wasn’t for cost, it was for cause. Someone who would know says that he has had numerous run ins with......various people. Not exactly the friendliest of guys when you even slightly disagree with him, rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. Allegedly.

I heard a public address announcer from the Dominican Summer League is getting the call to replace Wagner.

I'd hate to rush someone.  I think they should have to publicly announce at all the various levels and earn their way to the majors.

I'm starting to think that too and if any controversial social media postings  did exist they've been deleted.

I think the Elias screwed this one up.  Unless they send them down the O's don't get the extra year.  Pretty sloppy mistake IMO.
