I feel like this logic can be taken the other way. The offense was excellent for the first half, where they stuck to the process. Is it telling them to try to move runners over and do situational hitting the part they're not hard-wired for? Felt like the players started pressing and tried to force things instead of just sticking to what worked in the first half. Which can happen when Eloy Jimenez and Austin Slater are hitting after you instead of Jordan Westburg. Basically these coaches have been here for three years. I don't know what the right thing is to do with them, but I do think they should be evaluated on the whole sample and not just the last 3 months or the last two days. I don't think the problem this series was that the hitters stuck stubbornly to their approach and failed... I think they did not follow the approach and they choked under pressure. -

I agree. But then the question is why did Hyde keep playing him? is it allowed to go on the IL for a problem that isn’t made public? -

@wildcard How can you watch the ABs of guys swinging at trash and O'Hearn making contact in his ABs and want to remove him from the team? He did exactly what the rest of the lineup should have been doing. He takes actual ABs and doesn't strike out. It's not even a hesitation for me to pick up the option. Mounty is injury prone and doesn't hit for power anymore, Mayo is an unknown at 1B. This team needs O'Hearn. -

I think he was suffering from something beyond wear and tear. I think that for whatever reason he doesn't want to share that with the general public. I don't want to speculate as to why. -
You can be hurting and not considered injured. Hurting can impact your performance but not stop you from playing. Who knows what the full story is but nobody is going to convince me Adley suddenly sucked out of nowhere.
