That's my emotional reaction as well, but if you assume the White Sox players can continue to produce at their 2008 level or better, it looks to me like the numbers might favor the trade.

With Pujols, you know what you get -- barring injuries. The White Sox players lack much of a track record. You can assume Pujols will continue to be the best player in baseball -- or nearly that -- but you can't assume too much from a player with only one good season. We're talking about 3 players, each with just one good season, so the odds of them not regressing are pretty long.

Appears the Rays continue to talk about the Rockies about OF help, even after Holliday is gone, though they are thinking a little more outside the box this time. Wouldn't surprise me to see Edwin Jackson and a minor league arm headed to Coors.
