NLCS - Lamar Jackson tie?

Dodgers Will Smith 3.28.1995, 32nd pick in the draft from Louisville

Lamar Jackson 1.7.1997, 32nd pick in the draft from Louisville

Working out pretty well for both clubs.

These are the kinds of things that four+ hour 8.5 inning games let you think up.

Smith settling into cleanup for a juggernaut as a 26-year-old catcher - go get' em Adley.

Fantastic game today making it a series* - Dodgers have first franchise 3-run rally late in postseason to set alongside franchise record for Wins this year.   Evan Phillips today's streamer adding his bit to the data set at David Price's expense around RP10 being >>> SP4 in baseball world with these roster rules.   I imagine it feels somewhat incorrect to Friedman he can't option him tonight.

*I probably still might have guessed Dodgers ~20% shot even if they lost today.

Holy cow, Tyler Matzek!

Fried and Matzek's various contributions to the Braves NLCS performance feel a little like samples of different "good" DL Hall futures, should the Orioles be fortunate enough to get one of those one way or the other.

Matzek this week is also why the Hunter Harvey guy, never mind Hall with his shorter injury history, are just going to get zillions of chances before the game is done with them.

It would be very baseball for Hunter to still be nothing many more years, but then like a 2029 October hero.

Also, after tonight, even Walker Buehler may never get Batter Faced 19 in a Dodgers October again.
