Trade Targets

Brought up in the John Means thread, but there's four Orioles on this list, and many other realistic targets:

I personally would be interested in: Paddock, Pleasac, Rosario, Meadows, Yarborough, Kelly, Hernandez all for the right cost.  Are any of these realistic swaps we could make for guys on our list?

More likely we will be looking to move our guys on that list for prospects, not vice versa. Better question is what kind of return (if any) we might expect for our guys. Good to see that someone thinks Mancini, Santander, and Sulser could be targeted.

Several teams on that list though are not in rebuild mode and could use current assets

We are though, and will be for at least 1 or 2 more years, so why would we trade for guys with only 2 or 3 years of control remaining?

Santander is the guy we’d be selling really low on. Sulser had a good year and relievers are volatile. Even with the NL looking like they’ll be getting the DH, Mancini has a limited market. However, we could hang onto him and sell him at the deadline with the hopes that being longer removed from injury, and hitting in a “better” lineup with help his numbers. But… for a limited player the market could be more thin come deadline time.
