Pretty respectable lineup for a road game.   Bradenton is one of the shortest trips from Sarasota.

I kind of hope Akin solidifies his AAA ticket in this one. Hate to root against a guy, but he's really not deserving of a roster spot.

Speaking of which, I had heard that they broke the Grapefruit League into 3 areas and most of the play was confined to your area, to cut down on travel in the abbreviated spring training.

I thought the Braves now played in North Port, which is really close to Sarasota.   Yet they are not on our spring schedule at all.   What am I missing here?

By the way, there've already been at least two fly balls missed because of the wind.  One of them was credited as a double because it wasn't touched.

It is extremely windy outside today.  Even at ground level.

They just interviewed the Pirates' starting pitcher Thompson, who said he actually fell over after one pitch due to a strong gust.
