Hit #2 yielded on aggressive 0-2 pitch - Orioles pitchers in steamroller mode.   Quickly erased on double play as outs coming quickly since shaky start.

In Gameday it says Baumann struck out the side and threw 10 pitches, 8 for strikes.    Tough to strike out the side with only 8 strikes but I did see one batter called out by an "automatic strike".   I have never seen that before.   Anyone know what happened?

As it should be.  Hitters are probably worse than the pitchers.

He’s going to have to be disabused of that habit of pointing at the sky.  Why do minor league pitchers do that?  You can almost always tell a rookie ML pitcher by seeing them do this their first few outings.

Big Ben just said he was hitting 98 today.  Not sure how many pitches he did that though.

Looked good today. Can't wait to see him with a less weirdly-angled CF camera, which I feel makes his stuff look more underwhelming than it is.
