After tonight's 19-hit outburst, I'm already addicted to watching the Delmarva graduates play at Aberdeen via MiLB.  Great time to go see a game in Aberdeen.

He shouldn’t be in Aberdeen anyway.  Hopefully he’s in Bowie by mid May or so.

Ken, something I was interested in seeing out of these guys is how the move to Aberdeen, which is a pitchers park, effects these hitters.  
 

It will be interesting to monitor this.

I was just looking at how fast some guys got moved last year:

Ortiz 19 games from Aberdeen to Bowie

Westburg 20 games from Delmarva to Aberdeen

Mundy 20 games from Delmarva to Aberdeen 

Henderson 35 games from Delmarva to Aberdeen

Stowers 36 games from Aberdeen to Bowie

Based on that, at 6 games/week and figuring that they’ll move him at the end of a series, I think we could anticipate a move as early as May 2 (off day) or as late as May 16.   Any later than that would be pretty disappointing.

My hope is that he finishes the year at Norfolk, just like Stowers did last year. And is in the conversation for a call-up early next year.

Have to say, I wanted Khalil Watson, but I like Cowser a lot so far. He reminds me of Markakis a bit.

I agree on the Markakis comp, and I’d gladly take that kind of career from Cowser.  I think he’s a bit faster than Nick, though Nick had pretty decent speed in his early years.

Went 1-3 tonight with 1 BB and 2 K's. Opposite field 2B over the LF's head was the hit. 1.600 OPS on the season.

I think Brandon Nimmo (but hopefully healthy) is an intriguing comp that fits really well

Cowser is 0-2 with 2 Ks so far tonight. Has 10 Ks in 19 AB this year.

I guess he's trying to show that he'd fit in with the big league club.

Cowser is OPSing 1.097 so we can get just as excited over a SSS.
