Pretty bad BB/K ratio.  Hopefully he can figure that out.

That’s a good metric to watch for Westburg.  Especially his BB%.  It has torpedoed in AAA. Combine that with a significantly higher pull rate and higher GB rates in AAA and I bet he’s HR happy.

Is Westburg's 7 errors in 25 games at SS for Norfolk somewhat concerning? Not sure if mostly throws?

He's been pretty steady up until now. Maybe taking his slump out into the field.  Another poster went to a game a few weeks ago and did make mention of his throws being all over the place.

I was actually glad that someone mentioned he's been pulling the ball a lot.  That suggests to me he's only slumping and it's nothing more serious.  When he's going good he's hitting doubles to rcf.  Not sure why he keeps regressing into pull mode.  With Mateo ahead of him and Joe Ortiz behind him and Gunnar Henderson beside him, SS is looking less a less like Westburg's future position on the O's.  I was playing around the other day with a future lineup with Westburg at 1B but it's not that crazy if his bat is for real.

.156/.244/.182 in 20 games before this Rochester series. Hopefully he can carry this success over for the rest of the season.

Hit a low point about 5 games ago with 7 strikeouts and 1 walk over 3 games.   Since then, 6 walks and 1 strikeout before today.   Maybe he hit bottom, again!

He's an interesting dude. His OPS in Norfolk (.827) is now higher than it was in Bowie this year (.817). He's .878 in August despite a bad start.

He also has 18 ks and 16 walks in August. That is a significant development that we hope changes his profile a bit. It comes after a July where he had 26 ks to 5 walks, a June with 21/6, and a May with 30/11. In 2021 he was basically a 2/1 ratio of k/bb.

He was promoted to Norfolk in early June, so that can't be blamed for the slump. Basically, he was terrible through July and early August but has otherwise been a stud.

Oh, and he's still at 7 errors, which he was at on 8/7, so he's had a clean 2+ weeks in the field.
