Roki Sasaki's incredible life: From surviving a tsunami to playing one of the greatest games in history

Roki Sasaki was only nine years old when a terrible earthquake and tsunami struck the east coast of Japan on March 11, 2011, one that severely damaged the Fukushima nuclear power plant, devastating his home in Rikuzentakata.

His father and grandparents were killed by the tsunami and he had to live for some time with his mother and two siblings in a care home before moving to nearby Ofunato, where he took up baseball.

The rest of his story is like a Hollywood movie. His quality was such that he even broke the Japanese high school fastball record set by Major League pitcher Shohei Ohtaniwith a velocity of 163 kilometres per hour.

Sasaki 11.3.2001's Arm has not fallen off yet - he'll be 21 as the competition this spring unfolds.     Where in the rotation with Ohtani and Darvish will he fall?
