Wow, I just saw the double play he turned and the diving stop and throw on Rosario. I don't know how we can justify playing him at 3B or 2B. It's just a couple games but he has passed the eye test on defense and with the bat.

I wonder what Mateo was thinking and what his gut reaction/facial expression showed when he saw Gunnar put on this display?

Ha, just have to be lucky and get the right ones from unopened product. Or have enough money to buy them outright now after someone’s pulled them 😂😂.

Crazy how much his cards have skyrocketed in value this year. I was very fortunate that I loaded up on his 2019 stuff long ago.

Man, this kid is GOOD!  The snag and foot work on the DP.  The 107 mph exit velocity last night on the HR at 21 yr old. I knew he was good, but he might just be special. SSS being two games at the major league level but watching this kid should make you excited for the future of the Os.

Watching these clips of Gunnar's minor league highlights it becomes apparent he LIKES to wear the loose helmet.  It comes off a lot in the clips.   I think it is a style thing for him.   Much like Bryce Harper used to intentionally knock off him helmet when he ran the bases.

This is my favorite baseball heckle of all time.

Also, the overrated chant is more of a compliment than anything else.

Here's a hilarious video of a Tigers fan relentlessly heckling the Orioles bullpen, esp. Taylor Teagarden: "Hey, Teagarden my blood alcohol content is higher than your batting average." It's a skill, though not one I'd like to learn:

I thought cards weren't really a thing any more, ever since the card market crash of the early 90s made the '29 stock market look like nothing.  I gave up on cards when a buddy down the street had his dad buy dozens and dozens of full sets as an investment, making the rest of us buying packs to try get the whole thing kind of stupid.  Today those 50 1990 Fleer sets are worth, like, $100 total.  I had a Mattingly rookie card that I'm sure at one point was worth $30 according to some book, now it's what... 30 cents?

It’s become a major business since COVID.
