I realize that the NL East is not nearly as brutal as the AL East...

Boston may very well be relieved if their bid is beaten by the Nats and Tex goes to neither the O's or the Yanks. They're threatening to spend an awful lot of money to keep him out of the wrong hands and on that basis alone it's a poor investment.

If Tex wasn't local, and we had Anderson, I'd say to heck with it and go after pitching.

You tell us. :D

Been away from the internet for most of the last 14 hours. Has that new insider guy who knows a prospect and someone in the front office posted today?

[Disclaimer: yes, I know how to use search. But I'm darned if I can remember the guy's name. It ended in 7117 or something like that. Tough to search for posts by someone when you can't remember their name].

And my pessimism reaches an all time high.

I just don't see this getting done now guys. And I'm getting frustrated that this keeps dragging out. I wish it'd just be over.

Bigbird has been saying forever that Tex wasn't coming here, so I don't see why that should affect your mood, one way or the other.
