I realize that the NL East is not nearly as brutal as the AL East...

Boston may very well be relieved if their bid is beaten by the Nats and Tex goes to neither the O's or the Yanks. They're threatening to spend an awful lot of money to keep him out of the wrong hands and on that basis alone it's a poor investment.

If Tex wasn't local, and we had Anderson, I'd say to heck with it and go after pitching.

It was be awesome if we wake up tomorrow and see Tex has signed with us. With both the insiders saying nothing besides going to bed would be a way to not announce it.

Bigbird has been saying forever that Tex wasn't coming here, so I don't see why that should affect your mood, one way or the other.
