Friday May 20: Rays come to town

Imagine  the visiting team should try to push across as many runs as possible with runner @ second in extras.  If tied, home team has to bunt and get guy to third, no?  Seems to easy and in my heart of hearts, know it will never happen.

Another reason to dislike the ghost runner extra inning rule.

In the old days, home teams that forced a game to extras enjoyed the good end of a weighted coin flip (just under 55%) for win expectancy, and a 65% to win going into their at bat if they held the visitors scoreless.

Now those numbers are almost exactly flipped.  Which is super weird to me.  Call me a purist, but I'm not a fan.
