So frustrating when your playoff chances are on fumes and you bring a throw away cast off guy like Reed?  You wait till your either in a big lead or a game where your getting blown out to pitch the Reeds of this world.  NOT one when your one run behind in a must win game!

Hindsight 20/20 on that one, his pitch count wasn’t high.

But yeah he usually gives more leeway to Lyles because he’s a veteran. Not saying I agree with that but it is what it is.

The key last night was the HR. Not trying to be Captain Obvious but a Springer single and it’s a tie game.

Wildcard hopes are hanging by a thread and you pull Bradish for Reed. Just terrible managing by Hyde in that situation.

It has not been his best day.

That said you have an elite starter there which we don’t have the thought of yanking him doesn’t even cross your mind.

Bradish set down 8 in a row, and should have been 9 if Aguilar turns his glove the right way.

Chapman (who is red hot) comes to bat and didn’t sniff at any of the offspeed pitches. You certainly aren’t going to give him a fastball in the zone, so he walks…big deal.

2 down and you pull the guy who is rolling along for REED???

Clown show.

Hyde is competent but don't feel he fully buys into - let's make the playoffs or if he does he is not up to the challenge.  It's not a criticism but making sure a team's players are developing/performing vs playing championship caliber baseball are two different things.   Hyde may not be the guy for next season and beyond.  Having said that not sure who is/who is available, hope I'm wromg but not feeling great about him leading this team to the playoffs and beyond for the next few years.

I get your argument.  I’m just saying this club is short.
