1. Age. Doesn’t turn 18 until next October 

2. Bat. LH with plus power

3. Defense. Projected to stay at SS.

4. Tools. Projected all 5 average or better.

 

Couldn't find a college SS that fit.

Because of the 5 round draft in 2020, this may be a really good year to pick #17. Maybe the O's can swing a trade for a Competitive Balance A pick?

I think I would sign up for Shaw at #17 right now. Shaw's profile reads like he would be an ideal fit to slot into 2b and hit lead-off. By the second half of 2025 could be looking at a starting infield Henderson/Holiday/Shaw and maybe Kjerstad at 1B?
