2019 Winter Warm Up on Eutaw Street was the last FanFest event I can recall. It was cold, rainy, and sparsely attended.

But the series of events the second weekend of February in 2020 was fun.   Appearances at local bars and restaurants and things by a bunch of players.   I went to Frederick, they had this thing downtown in an outdoor area.   Then I went to Flying Dog Brewery which isn't far from Frederick where Eddie Murray was bartending and poured me a beer.

It was well organized and a variety of events to choose from and spread around the metropolitan area over a 3 or 4 day period.

At least they should try to put something like that together.

I went to one of them. Saw Adley, Gunnar, Mullins, Hyde. It was fine.

Still time I would think to promote it. I said at the time nothing wrong with doing both the caravan and FanFest.

They may, there is still time. Those types of events fit the frugality model.

Glad to see they’re doing something.  I’d still prefer Fanfest at the Convention Center, but this isn’t bad and a lot better than nothing.

That was my thought too. At least it's a bit more robust (more appearances/locations) then when they did the caravan before. I'm tempted to go to the Happy Hour at the Crooked Crab (in Odenton), just so I can ask Sig Medal, before he serves me a beer, which IPA has the best underlying numbers ;)

They make some great beers.   I plan on being there.

It won't equal the thrill of being served a beer by bartender Eddie Murray at Flying Dog in 2020, but I will go to either the Checkerspot or Crooked Crab happy hour, for sure.   Maybe both.

Those are the two that I'm considering as well.

I see the TopGolf and Bowlero in College Park say no autographs but players always are pretty cool  Hopefully the autograph proceeds go to a good charity like they used too

I saw that, anyone have more info?  I've found it impossible to get my 7 year old any good autographs, but thought some of the meet and greet with "no autographs" may have a better chance than standing in an excessive line.  Anyone know if a 7 year old goes and shakes the players hand, would they sign him a ball/card?
