Debating if MLB.tv package is worth it. Does it have old Oriole archive games? How many? Does it work on your Tv or just computers?

The market definitions for some zip codes is wild.  Years ago I was in Las Vegas for an extended time and was blacked out of an entire Orioles road trip.  At the time there were 7 teams claiming NV as part of their market.

The Guam blackouts are outrageous. Im blacked out of the Nats games as well If I ever happened to be a Nats fan. DC isnt exactly all that close to PA.

FYI ,  T-Mobile usually gives out a free year of MLB- TV as part of their Tuesday deal promotions.   Of course,  you have to be a customer of either their mobile phone or home internet.  I just signed up for their new home internet service, just so I could get mlb-tv for a year.  If I don"t like it , I will cancel, but that won't affect the MLBTV service until it renews next year.

I've heard that won't be doing that promotion this year,  but I hope I was misinformed.

This. It’s the best money I’ve never spent. I’ve been getting the T-Mobile promotion for the last 3 years. Like several of you, the only blackouts I get are of Braves games. Hoping to catch a couple when they come to Atlanta in May.

I’m hoping it’s going to be free this year too. No announcement yet but I just switched to T Mobile (after starting work there in October). I canceled my renewal of MLB.tv thru Amazon just in case.

Stream east xyz. I am in the blackout area so can’t get any games on mlb tv but also the local provider does not offer masn package either so that only way I can watch them.  I been using them last few years with no issues until last year when mlb started cracking down on these streaming sites and had to miss probably 10-15 games because site down but a day or two and it would be up again..

But they have a big advantage: cutting out those more-than-annoying MLB.TV ads on instant replay, filling every half-inning break. The alternative with MLB.TV is just to mute every time. But adding the MiLB package could be the tiebreaker.

That’s a good point about the mlbtv ads. They are so repetitive. I usually mute

Thanks!  Only the Braves games are blocked for me.

  • Chicago Cubs
  • Kansas City Royals
  • St. Louis Cardinals
  • Minnesota Twins
  • Chicago White Sox
  • Milwaukee Brewers

Fortunately, you don't live in Iowa.  Here is what I got for my hometown (50650 zip code).

By the way, if you want a 50% discount on MLBTV, become a "fan" at https://www.mlb.com/mlbpaa/membership/fans. It costs $25 and I think you get a shirt and other discounts, but in about 15 minutes, you get a link for 50% off for the year.

Bumping this thread.

I tried this last year and it worked. I'm now getting emails from MLBPAA that they are offering the same deal again. I recommend it.

You make a $25 payment to MLBPAA and they give you a 50% discount code for MLBTV. MLBTV normally costs $150, so you save $75 (or $50 if you include the payment to MLBPAA). To get the Orioles-only plan from MLBTV, it is $130 for the year; so you are still saving money and you get all MLB and minor league games (excluding any games that are blacked out where you live).
