The question is why were the Orioles/Holt letting him/asking him to throw the cutter? I am less and less enamored with Holt as the year goes on.

Kremer also gets himself in trouble with his crappy cutter yet he can hit 97 up in the zone at times.

He seems to be struggling throwing his slider & curve for strikes.  Consistently pulling them and leaving them low/outside.  Fastball looks live today sitting 96.  Has blown a couple guys away.  Looks like he is working on locating his off-speed stuff.

Through 4 IP, he is at 53 pitches (so 27 pitches to get the next 2.2 IP) and his str% is 66%. In those 27 pitches, his str% is 78%.

Complete turn around.  It’s like he can’t miss the strike zone in 3rd-5th.  Has dropped in a couple high curve balls for an easy strike.  He made a big adjustmenT mid game, good to see.

He seems to have first inning issues, which isn’t uncommon for pitchers.

15 pitch 5th inning. Str% up to 69%, 9Ks, 1 BB and nothing else.

Nothing has been hit hard at all.  Soft fly balls and weakly hit ground balls.  He must not like his accommodations in Norfolk lol.

He has missed 12 bats and has a 26% swingstr% so far. He has thrown 10 pitches between 97-98MPh, topping at 98 for the day thus far.
