If you have to go to the pen at that point, I’m probably going with Akin there assuming Coulombe gets that spot in the lineup in the 9th. Soto has been pitching better than Perez too, so I’m probably going with him over Perez right now. They both have severe walk issues but Soto at least strikes guys out. Depends who is hitting behind that batter too though. -
I just want to win tonight. I’m a povich fan, the kid has been getting better and better. I would love to see him pitch us into the top wildcard spot tonight. After that, who cares -
There’s all kinds of other statistics if you don’t want to use ERA. Relevant to your comment, Orioles relievers have allowed 32% of inherited runners to score. League average is 33%. -

DC should get the highest leverage situation that pops up, regardless of the inning. -

I'd like to see them take 2 of 3 and feeling good going into the playoffs, taking the last two series. I know Texas limped in last year and then went all the way, but I would feel more optimistic as a fan if they took 2 of 3 with the offense looking like its clicking. -

That 1/3 of an inning against Texas in Game 3 was the low point of my 2023 season. He's only here to eat innings, He was only in to throw garbage time. Wont be on the playoff roster.
