  1. 1. How many WAR will Adley Rutschman get in 2023?

.395 BABIP is not sustainable, so the average will obviously come down a bit, but .320AVG for Adley does not seem unreasonable. Line drive percentage is up. Ground ball percentage is down. Infield fly ball percentage is down. Walk rate is up. Strikeout rate is down. He has genuinely progressed.

Gonna be between Adley, Wander Franco and Ohtani for MVP.

For me it's Judge replacing Franco in the top 3. How can you not have Judge as a favorite after he's picked up right where he left off from his MVP season, and after he almost single-handedly beat the O's in the Yanks' last head-to-head win against them?

Wander has to show that he can stay healthy. I also think both he and the Rays will crash back down to earth pretty hard after they get through the easiest schedule any team in MLB has faced up until this point. They've been beating up on some terrible pitching staffs (which the Orioles also just did to take 3 out of 4 from the worst team in baseball).

I could see this. I went big in an auction league for Wander this year. I think he’s going to be a monster this year.

But you can add Trout to this as well.

Yeah, Trout is always in the running, but he's gotta stay healthy.

Wander's off to a great start, I think people kinda forgot about him after last year which was a little weird.

Cause **** the Yankees, that's how.

Jokes (not really) aside, it's like this:  Ohtani really deserved the MVP last year, if he has another year like it, you can't not have him in the running.  Wander is looking like the best player on the best team, he has to be in the running.  Adley, new kid on the block, WAR machine, not even a full season into his career and he's the best catcher in baseball.

Of the group, Judge is the most uninteresting of them all.

Wander was hurt last year but he’s also a perfect example of why, even if you are the best prospect in the sport, you don’t always tear it up from the start..especially when you are younger.

Something to keep in mind w/r/t Gunnar.

True.  Looks like Kelenic might have it figured out now, too.

If Adley keeps hitting similar to this and combine that with his superior defensive value as a gold glove caliber catcher the only thing limiting his MVP aspirations is the team success of the Orioles.

(That and Shohei Ohtani doing something crazy like winning 20 games and hitting 40+ home runs.)
