Japan is one heck of an impressive team in all facets of the game.

The split finger pitch is lethal.  I always thought it was the most effective pitch in the game.  Same arm speed and tunnel effect + crazy movement and speed change.

I believe he can transition to P, but if gets taken out he would be out of game.  Unless they moved him to another position.  I could be wrong.  I think before the game they said the Ohtani rule is not in effect.

Couldn’t find anything definitive in a quick Google search.  I think there is also a pitch limitation they need to contend with.  Looks like he’s going to get the 9th.

Even our 3rd tier pitching has kept us in the game, but our vaunted bats haven't gotten it done.. Very disappointing.
