How do you make an improbable diving catch on one play and do a routine pop up on another?

McKenna has always been that guy. He's a guy that will make great plays, but just headscratching knucklehead plays. He was sat by minor league managers on more than one occasion for losing focus during games. He is who he is.

Saying that, I don't know how you drop that ball.

The offense didn't score after the 4th inning and they lost. On the bright side, the difference between 1-1 and 2-0 is nonexistent in a 162-game season.

But there are going to be plenty of games they lose where they don't score 8 runs.  In the games you do score 8 runs and have 6 run leads, you have to get those W's.  This was a big loss.

McKenna is the obvious goat on this one because of the timing, but Mullins and Hays badly misplayed catchable balls today too. The latter two might have been issues with the sun or whatever. But the OF defense, which is supposed to be a strength, has been absolutely terrible in both games. This is only one game, but the toll on the pen is mounting quickly.
