Very, very way too early thoughts

As long as we have this current ownership group in place it will be a serious uphill battle. The margin of error is razor thin for every other part of the baseball ops to have to be firing on all cylinders and almost be perfect because basically we have no org leadership (that is to say top of the pyramid is terrible).

We may have the worst ownership in all of American pro sports (I guess along with the Washington Commanders). But they at least are up for sale so they might have hope there. Meanwhile we are stuck with the worst!

There is no way anyone competent with a good, young, cheap, overachieving team would say, "Ay well, just run it back. No need for improvements". Unless winning baseball games and ultimately pennants and championships were not really that much of a priority.

Snyder is a worse owner and it’s not particularly close.

I don't think McKenna's error was representative of his defensive abilities.  I also don't know why he is on the team.

What the hell was Vavra doing in LF and why did he bother to bring a glove anyway?

Can anyone confirm that the Orioles actually do have a player named Kyle Stowers who can play the OF?

I think the defense will tighten up quickly enough so I'm not that concerned about what we've seen the last three games even though they've been difficult to watch.  I share everyone else's concerns about the bullpen.  Maybe it's just me, but I think it would be great if Hyde stopped screwing around with the uber flexible lineup approach.

Mountcastle's looked pretty good so far.

I didn't see the game. What did Vavra do?

It wasn't a definitive statement or anything, but it's not a good look when you're asked about an extension for your best player and you immediately start talking about the limitations of the "system."

System my rear.  Cheap is in Angelos family DNA.   If you don’t have the dough, then they should be forced to sell to someone that does.
