The 2023 high water mark thread

This thread is to be updated any time the O’s set a new high water mark in 2023 for games above .500.   Don’t post here if an old high water mark is tied; only passing the old mark warrants notice. 

As of last night’s win, the O’s are +2 for the first time this season.   Last year they finished at +4 but their high water mark was +10, at 71-61 on Sept. 3.   I think a lot of people forget how poorly the O’s finished over their last 30 games, going 12-18 down the stretch.

Last year, the O’s didn’t reach the current high water mark of +2 until July 29, and never topped it until August 3.   Here’s hoping they get there much more quickly this year.

That come from behind win last night was huge to go up +2. We have to face Cease on Sunday to close out the White Sox series. Not saying it's an automatic Loss, but it's a likely Loss. But hey, that's why we play the games. He's a human just like our guys are.

As noted last night, the White Sox pen in nothing special.    Getting Cease out of the game may be the most important thing for the O's today.  In his previous three starts this year he has gone 6.1, 5 and 5 innings.

With the next 4 games against the Nats and Tigers, I'd love to see us get to 13-8 by the end of the Tigers series. It's definitely within reach.

We're only 19 games in, yeah so what! At the end of tonight's game, we had the 3rd best record in the AL and we beat the 2nd best 2 out of 3.

Fun being an O's fan right now.
