Starting to buy into SG's prediction that we don't see him pitch this year. Although his fastball is right where it should be velocity wise. Wonder what's going on?

That’s my one hesitation. The velo is there. That would seem to indicate he’s healthy but there is nothing else that makes you think “he’s right”

How much more time does he have left on his rehab?  A week to ten days?

I wonder if he's not able, whether it's pain or mental, to be able to repeat his release? Possibly tipping his pitches.

The velocity is encouraging.... and Cionel Perez started the season giving up 18 hits in 8.2 innings and now appears to be turning things around... but then again, he didn't have the dreaded "forearm strain" issue to contend with, and he wasn't in pitching in AAA.  The next couple of weeks or so should be telling.

Roch quoting Hyde on Givens and Tate:

“It sounds like they both came out healthy, which is the No. 1 thing,” Hyde said. “The line score obviously with Dillon wasn’t real good, but you factor a lot of things – how his stuff was, how it played.

“When you evaluate a rehab assignment game, you’ve really got to watch because you can’t just go on a box score. D-Tate gets contact, some swinging bunts. But just mainly how their stuff looked. Sounded like Mychal threw the ball well, feels good. He’s in the building today. And Dillon’s getting better and getting close.”

Sounds like happy talk.  From every analysis of their last outings I have seen, their pitches , velocity, spin rate, location are not anywhere near their norms
