I know rookies struggle but that is a hugely epic amount of total suck.  Hard to live with that.

Is it though?  It's a week's worth of at bats if he was playing full time.  Not really a lot.  I'll bet almost any hall of famer you might name had a 2 for 28 stretch at one point in their career.

(No, I'm not saying Stowers is a HOFer and I am fully aware how bad he has looked in those 28 ABs.  Just saying it's really a pretty small sample to be making major judgements on).

I can't wait until MLB goes to an auto strike zone system. I have noticed so many pitches off the plate being called strikes this year.

I think MLB might be backing off the robo ump.  Been hearing they are going to a challenge system in the minors to test how that goes.  Each team will get two strikes a game to challenge.  Seems just a weak way to avoid the real subject.....that they need to just go all the way and bring in the robo ump.

NO one pays to see umpires get calls wrong and say "oh the human element.......its a part of the game"  The game began in the 1860's and we had no choice but use frail humans.   If the game was created today they would already use the robo ump.  Umps getting it wrong is not "just part of the game"  it sucks is what it does.

In his last 6 games with plate appearances Stowers is 0-18 with 6 K's. Playoff teams need players who can produce, and he just isn't cutting it. The O's don't have to give up on him, but they also can't afford to throw away ABs for a player who struggles to hit ML pitching.

I know right?  How'd he ever get the two?

I honestly cant remember him getting any hits.  And I have watched every game of the year.(sometimes I am not paying total attention)
