He’s been pitching pretty well, so the timing does surprise me, though not the fact that it happened.

Apparently it’s an acute injury that is unrelated to anything from before..or so they say.

I'm not ever surprised when a pitcher needs TJ.

I was literally listening yesterday to a week-old MLB Pipeline podcast in which Rocker was named to the MiL “team of the week” off his 6 inning one-hit shutout on May 5.   Sucks for him.

He entered the top 100 list the other day..and literally within 30 min of that announcement, the news came down about the surgery…MLB.com then removed him from the list.

So he’s 23 1/2 now.  Will he be in MLB by age 26?  (2026 season).
