05/21/23	Baltimore Orioles activated RHP Mychal Givens from the 15-day injured list.
05/21/23	Baltimore Orioles optioned LHP Cole Irvin to Norfolk Tides.

Makes me question why traded for Irvin; they gave up on him pretty quickly.

Not really. He was terrible to start but there's a plenty of control left on him.

I don't think they have given up on him at all.  He is a starting pitcher and right now the 5 they have in the rotation are better than him.

Depth. The odds of our top five staying healthy and good all year are pretty low. We will see Irvin and Hall.
