I mean..: we have to have a decent record against them because we have the second best record in baseball and we’ve faced them a ton, but it just seems like lefties keep dominating us.

Looks like we need to hope we'll get to their pen in the 8th or 9th. These guys have zero pitch recognition on the sweeper, which is almost always thrown for a ball. And when they DO make contact with something, it's right at-em. Can't make this up. Losing to a 23-29 team with the worst offense in MLB. lol.

Do real contenders trot out as deeply not serious of a lineup as this one even during getaway/matinee games?

Who’d have think that during this latest stretch against winning teams offense would be the problem. Our starters have been better than they were against the teams with a lousy record.

Just reviewed it a couple of times. The bottom of Naylor's foot came off the base as he caught the throw vs. Mateo. I couldn't tell whether he maintained contact with his spike.
