4 spots in that lineup that's just black holes right now.  Frazier, Mountcastle, Urias and McCann.  Yuck, not feeling good about this.  Really need to get some offensive help into the lineup.

This line up is just full of holes. I didn't initially think the loss of Mullins would hurt much but since his injury the offense is in a tailspin.

First inning,  3 balls that could have been hits all caught and a quick inning.

Not feeling great.

Mullins certainly hurts, but the issues go way beyond him.

That is what happens when you constantly move infielders around. Why is Henderson back at SS today??

Because Mateo can't hit.  This is a disaster.

you should be asking why he isnt there everyday unless Ortiz is.

Agreed Mateo needs to sit. But Henderson just needs to stay at 3rd and play everyday.

Elias needs to make some changes NOW.

    • They essentially are payroll-wise. New ownership or not, I don’t think Elias believes in doling out long contracts to players over 30. And in this case, overpaying for them. I really like Manaea and he is also my number 1 target aside from the big two remaining but I just don’t see it.
    • Wreaths emailed me directly cause I did 2 last year so I did 2 again.
    • I would probably rather trade Mayo, but I'd make this trade if I felt confident the O's had a plan in place to replace Westburg both offensively and positionally. Right now, they can put Urias at 3B, but you still need to find his offensive replacement. And while Mayo could be the answer, they would need to also subtract Mountcastle to do it, and now you're down Santander, Mountcastle, and Westburg. Your rotation is much better, but your lineup is significantly worse. You could sign Bregman, but that's no guarantee.  Westburg is really tough to replace IMO.
    • Other things I'd like to see: If the player chosen for the Golden Bat moment or whatever comes up short, he gives up his game check to be divided 5 ways for 5 fans that won a pre-game raffle.   If the game moves into the 11th inning, find the fan with the highest blood alcohol content and have them pitch both halves of the inning. Every team must have an Eddie Gaedel Tribute Player on the roster.  We'll make half a roster space available for the EGTP and that player can be swapped in for any at bat.  It's not an automatic walk, but it'll be close with their pinhole sized strike zone.   If a team gives up a hit to the EGTP, they forfeit the game. Each team has one opportunity per game to take a batters tee to the mound and hit the ball from there. If a team has a 10 run lead into the 6th inning, innings 6, 7 and 8 are skipped but they have to play the 9th. Can throw the ball at baserunners to record outs, but if the baserunner dodges it they get two extra bases.  Choose wisely. Fans get to vote for pinch hitters by cheering the loudest for their options. Fans also get to ask postgame press conference questions, no topic is off-limits. If a player drops a routine fly ball like McKenna did against the Sox, they have to play without that fielder for the rest of the game and can't move another fielder to that spot.  2 man outfields are going to be something! Scuffing balls, totally legal.  In fact, we'll have a foot locker where the rosin bag used to be full of vaseline, nails, thumbtacks and anything else deemed legal (name it and it's probably fine) to scuff balls. I'm open to other suggestions.
    • You can talk yourself out of any player. Pitchers especially.
    • I’m already coping myself. Admittedly. Telling myself that Povich was underrated in his 16 starts last year.  I like his pitch mix. Just like all pitchers… it’s command with him.
