6/16: Walk Offs In Bowie And Aberdeen

MINOR LEAGUE GAME SUMMARIES

I was at Aberdeen last night.  Disappeared Jackson didn’t start on a Friday evening.  

Offense was quiet until the 9th when we started pinch hitting.

Long looked solid.  Low 90’s and around the zone.  I don’t recall any loud contact.  But Dan Hammer passed my eye test with better grades last night.

Creed has a good arm.  Nailed de los Santos (70 SBs last year) at 2B.

Best play was a single to CF where 2B Wagner relayed a throw from Fabian to get a guy at the plate.

Jackson pinch hit and hit a laser to the pitch.  Fielded cleanly but three wide of 2B.  Then Beavers knocked a line drive to the OF to walk it off.

On a personal note:  Jackson didn’t spend as much time signing autographs as Adley did last year.  I don’t think Fabian or Beavers signed any.  

But Creed was the man!  He signed before and after games.  Last man on the field and interacted with the kids.

Jackson is in his first ever 20 games slump of his life, so that could have something to do with his signings. Not surprising about Creed. He seems like that kind of kid.
