• O'Hearn, who pinch hit for McCann, stays in to play 1B
• Urias moves from 1B to 3B
• Gunnar moves from 3B to SS
• That means Mateo is out of the game, and the pitcher is now hitting in Mateo's spot

If Hyde was going to do all that, maybe he should have hit for Mateo with 2 outs and 2 on.   Lester or Frazier?

Did the Cubs have a LH reliever ready they would have brought in if we had done that?   I don't know who was warming.

I realize now that you've lost the DH you have to preserve a couple of bats on the bench to bat for the P.

I can see it now .........Top of the 9th .........2 outs .......Man in scoring position on second base ........We get a stinkin base hit and we tie the game but the only problem ????? ......Mateo stepping up to the plate .

if it was the plan why not bat Frazier with guy on base, i didn't see any injury on him could be wrong.

I think ur correct on the last point. Palmer said Fraizer probably would have PH if game was tied.
