The problem with swinging that hard is you yank your head and take your eye off the ball. He's been doing that too much lately

I sometimes don't understand Adley.  Watches a fastball middle in for a strike and then swings at a breaking ball way of the plate on the next pitch.  He always puts himself in a hole batting from behind in the count

It's almost like he is prioritizing making the pitcher throw more pitches. That's what Adley does in thr #2 spot. He eats pitches and raises the pitch count.

He’s never swung at the first pitch of an at bat, he’s behind 0-1 every single time.

If that’s the case he needs to change his approach. We want him driving the ball, not being walked
