Home run #16 tonight....I think he's going to Norfolk soon...maybe a week or so...this kid is special...I'd like to think he could be an Aaron Judge type power hitter...and frankly, right now we could use some long ball power...of course, at 21 and needs another year...but My God, with Cowser, Holliday,  Heston Kjerstad even if a couple flame out...they won't ALL fail at the MLB level....Coby is almost like family to me...I reported on him when he was drafted...he's now hitting .305 among the leaders in the Eastern League...and the great news is, he doesn't stake out that much....man if we get some pitching ...were gonna be awesome..

I don’t think many people here are sleeping on Coby Mayo.

Tony-OH wasn't, he had him at #4 on the 2023 power rankings thread this spring.  But what the heck, Mayo is a great story right now especially when it looks like the O's have forgotten how to hit.

It would not be a set of decisions likely to maximize long haul asset value, but it would be a lot of fun tomorrow night at Yankee Stadium to put out a lineup like:

CF Mullins, C Adley, 1B Santander, SS Gunnar, RF Hays, LF Cowser, 3B Mayo, DH Kjerstad, 2B Westburg

Sometime around 10.3.2023 or 7.3.2024 you're approaching something like that, while 7.3.2023 would be quite quick.

I believe in Kathryn Rowe's capability to help guide Adley Rutschman through the profound emotional turmoil that Aaron Hicks and Ryans O'Hearn and McKenna's sudden absence as teammates would cause.    It would make the Adley Gunnar Grayson DL group text chain full of sadness.

I think Mayo is one of the prospects who might get us some decent pitching. He's a valuable asset, a very good player, and I just don't see there being enough room for all of these great young players to play on the same team in the Major League level.

Everyone wants to go to heaven but no one wants to die.

Starting to see that on here in a few places.  We've got all these stud prospects and you can quickly see how there won't be room for them all.  And yet, people are petrified about the idea of trading any of them for fear they'll go on to do great things somewhere else.

While I'd like to keep Mayo, if he's the centerpiece for a stud pitcher, I don't mind.
