Just got home, turned the game on, see O'Hearn get a hit, and against a righthander, here comes Ryan Mountcastle.  Against RHP, this year, here are RM's stats:

174 AB's,  7 BB's,  53 K's,  .190 BA,  .223 OBP,  .310 SLG,  .533 OPS.

I see he doubled before that strikeout, but why is he playing?

It isn't his lack of speed that makes him look awkward, it's his reads and routes.

Because guys don't normally develop platoon splits this late into their career so it's probably not a sustainable phenomenon.

But I'm sure you know that.
