Said it in the middle of June that I figured he'd be pitching his way out of the 8th. Apparently, they still think he's the guy from April/May.

Relievers obviously need to be ready and able to perform in sticky situations. But that doesn't mean you can't try to avoid them. That's my gripe with Hyde, he is constantly putting relievers in more difficult situations than is necessary. Like here, if you're going to yank Grayson if he does anything short of a 1-2-3 inning, just let him go out on a high note after the sixth and give the reliever control over the inning. 

At some point these guys need to do their jobs. Pretty sure that everyone in the park knew that if a runner got on, G-Rod was getting pulled.
