I am not the only deranged member of this forum, so I know this weird topic won’t go completely over everyone’s head. 
He has been amazing and is very loveable and I am sure salt of the Earth. He is also under control for the next 4+ years. My thought pattern brings me to if he continues being what he has been this year and next year the same, maybe what could we get for him the follow off season with so much control but he is also a late bloomer, so maybe not super old pitcher arm wise. I know we are talking 18 ish months away but I have weird thought patterns that I sometimes need to get out rather than internalize.

I would consider a trade in the future if we aren't contending. Otherwise I would keep him, hit him with QO take the draft pick.
