It was a pretty late strike three call.  I think AR was making sure in case it wasn’t called. When play continued and the runner was coming home, it made sense to hedge your bets and throw home.

My opinion, it was the ump’s late call and Adley’s head being in the game.

I just love watching our offense in innings like this. How frustrating this must be for Gausman (more on him in a minute). We seem quick to 2 strikes, but wear your ass out after that. 46 pitches through 1.1 innings - oof. 

Home runs are boring, and besides that, they're fascist. Draw more walks - they're more democratic.
